What type of floor should I go for?

To answer this question we need to know where you are putting the flooring i.e. Inside or outside and what the main purpose of the room is. Some examples are: As a general guide, restaurant / canteen kitchens / food prep areas or where water / liquid may be spilt like bathrooms or wet rooms require a safety vinyl also referred to as a non-slip vinyl and resilient vinyl. This is also the preferred choice for dental/health clinics, toilet areas and some classroom flooring. Fortunately there is now a huge choice and some very attractive designs and colours including wood effect safety vinyl. Areas such front of house, retail / shops can select a floor covering based on how they want the room to look. Vinyl wood / stone effect tiles / planks are very popular and rubber flooring can also be very striking. For the more budget conscientious smooth or safety vinyl is also used. Offices continue to use carpet tiles and this still proves to be a good choice as carpet tiles are both practical and hard wearing. There are literally hundreds of tiles to choose from - from budget basic carpet tiles to stunning very attractive design led tiles depending on what look you are trying to achieve and how much you have to spend. Matting is also important particularly in shops, clinics or offices, as this will go someway in helping to absorb the dirt / water from peoples feet prior to walking this round. Mats do differ in price and there is also the option to have your logo printed on a mat if desired. This is only a snapshot; if you would like to discuss your requirements with one of our advisors, please call us and we will be happy to assist.
